Stud Service

Stud service is only available to females who meet the following requirements:

  • Standard Poodles
  • Fully health tested (CHIC number preferred)
  • Diversity tested
  • Preferably titled in AKC or UKC conformation and/or sports

This agreement ("Agreement"), dated as of (the "Effective Date"), is between Sellers, Natasha N. Preston and Grey Becker ("Stud Owners"), and the buyer, ("Bitch owner"). The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions of Stud in the below-described dog ("Dog").

Medical Screens

Seller and Buyer agree as follows:

1. Purchase Price

The Stud fee is either $2,500.00 ("Purchase Price") or a show pick from the litter, with only the buyer having a pick ahead of seller.

a. If show pick is chosen, the puppy can be a female or male. The puppy will be chosen after conformation and temperament evaluations. Stud owner is allowed to be present during the evaluation (in person or though a video call).

  • i. It is understood that the pick puppy selection is the Stud Owners discretion.
  • ii. IF at the time of evaluations there is not a puppy seller wants to choose, then the normal stud fee of $2,500 will instead be due at that time.

b. Buyer understands that the Stud fee DOES NOT include collection or shipment of semen, insemination, or travel costs.

c. Stud fee is due at the time of breeding.

  • i. Payments can be made in cash or Zelle.

d. In addition to the stud fee, the collection and shipment fees, if artificial insemination is chosen, will be due at the time of service.

  • i. These fees can be arranged directly to be paid to the vet, shipping service or to the seller as chosen at buyers convenience.
    • 1. If paid to seller, cash or Zelle will be accepted.
    • 2. If paid direct to vet doing collection and shipment partners, many will accept card payments.

e. The seller insures a yield of three live puppies or a free rebreeding to the SAME stud.

  • i. In such an instance, the collection or shipment of semen, insemination, or travel costs ARE NOT included in the free rebreeding in her next season.
  • ii. If the Bitch fails to conceive on the return service, this Contract is terminated.
  • iii. If the Bitch is not bred on her next season, or is bred to another Stud Dog instead, the Stud fee is forfeited, and the Contract is null and void.

2. Residence of Dog

a. The Stud is located in AUGUSTA, GEORGIA.

b. Both parties understand that this contract is STRICTLY for the stud fee.

  • i. Travel to the stud or expectation for the stud to travel to the bitch is NOT included.
  • ii. Collection fee and shipment are NOT included.

3. Registration of Dog(s)

a. The Stud is a purebred standard poodle eligible for registration with AKC and UKC. It is noted that the Stud Dog does not have any disqualifying faults or features under either the Breed Standard or the show rules of the United Kennel Club, as of the date of this Agreement.

b. It is understood the bitch must be a purebred standard poodle eligible for registration with AKC and UKC. She should not have any disqualifying faults or features under either the Breed Standard or the show rules of the United Kennel Club, as of the date of this Agreement.

c. No mixed breed dogs will be considered.

4. Bitch Owner Responsibilities

a. Registration and Ownership. Buyer is the lawful owner of the bitch.

a. Vaccinations and Veterinary Care.

  • i. Buyer is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care expenses of the Bitch or artificial insemination.
  • ii. Buyer will also provide the following
    • I. (i) negative brucellosis within 3 days of anticipated breeding
    • II. Bitch must be in good health, free of parasites, infections, and in season
      • a. It is recommended that progesterone testing is done for the best success at breeding.
      • b. If Bitch Owner is not willing to pay for progesterone testing, smears or AI's this should be stated ahead of time and included in the contract initialed by both parties. If this is the case we will try our best to breed the dogs at the proper time but if no puppies result the deposit is forfeited and no repeat breeding is offered.
      • c. Bitch Owner shall be liable for any loss of Stud Dog's future services due to Bitch Owner's concealment of health problems. This is not needed for AI breeding;
    • III. Notify Stud Dog Owner in writing, no later than 70 days after Breeding, if no pregnancy results from the mating. Failure to do so will result in no return service being provided;
    • IV. Keep the Bitch properly confined following Breeding to ensure no other Dog could mate her accidentally before her season is complete
    • V. Agrees to not knowingly sell or transfer puppies resulting from this Breeding to any person or firm connected with the business of resale or wholesale of dogs OR to doodle breeders.
    • VI. Pay any and all veterinary and financial arrangements, including, but not limited to traveling expenses, emergency vet care related to this Breeding, etc.

5. Stud Owner Responsibilities

a. Registration and Ownership. Seller is the lawful owner of Dog.

b. Vaccinations and Veterinary Care.

  • i. Seller is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care expenses of the Stud
  • ii. Seller will also provide the following:
    • 1. (i) negative brucellosis within 3 days of anticipated breeding

6. Governing Law

This Agreement, and all matters arising out of or relating to this Agreement, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State in which Stud Owner currently resides without regard to the conflicts of law's provisions thereof, unless Stud Owner determines otherwise.

7. Miscellaneous

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter herein and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, negotiations, discussions, and understandings, written or oral, between the parties with respect to such subject matter. Neither party may assign, transfer, or subcontract any obligations (or rights) under this Agreement without the prior written consent of the other party. No changes, modifications, or waivers to this Agreement will be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties. In the event that any provision of this Agreement is determined to be illegal and unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this Agreement shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. This Agreement may be executed in any number of counterparts and such counterparts together shall constitute the same instrument. This Agreement may be executed by electronic signature, which shall be considered as an original signature for all purposes and shall have the same force and effect as an original signature.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, Stud Owner and Bitch Owner have executed this Agreement effective as of the Effective Date.

Bitch Owner (Buyer) Information:

I,

the Buyer, also referred to as Bitch owner, have fully read and understand, and am in full agreement to this Contract. It is understood the contract must be completed PRIOR to the Stud of Dog. The writing constitutes full agreement of both parties. The cost (taxable, disbursements, and fees) of any litigation which may arise regarding the fulfillment of this contract agreement shall be borne by the Buyer. The seller hereby disclaim all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, except for those described above, attached, or below.

Pet Contract

The standard pet contract is used for puppies placed in companion homes without breeding or showing rights. Pet placements include limited AKC registration, allowing participation in all performance events while preventing breeding and conformation showing. Spay/neuter requirements and lifetime return policies protect each puppy's wellbeing throughout their life.

Co-Ownership Contract

Due to the small scale of my breeding program and my desire to keep my show prospects, I will only sell show prospects to co-owned homes. Co-ownership allows families to own and live with a show-quality puppy while I retain breeding rights and involvement in the dog's show career. Co-owned dogs remain in the family's home full-time, with collaboration on showing, health testing, and breeding decisions as outlined in the contract.

Guardian Home Contract

Occasionally, I may be looking to place my show pick puppy into a guardian home. Guardian homes are required to be within three hours of my summer residence in Coal City, IL or winter residence in Scottsdale, Arizona.

I retain all breeding rights. Guardian homes are only for male dogs at this time. Guardian families provide daily care and companionship while I maintain involvement in the dog's show career and breeding use. The dog lives full-time with the guardian family and returns to me only for breeding purposes or shows as needed.
